Congratulations!!! Are you specializing in Peds? I was a Pediatric Cardiac nurse for 6 years before I had Giana and left. One day i might go back, but I demanded too much of my time that I wasn't willing to give up when she was a newborn. Although there are days she makes me regret not going back!!! Few and far between, but they happen!!

Jenn! I had no idea you were a nurse. No wonder I like you so much. Peds Cardiology is intense. Cardiology was always my hardest subject.
Yes..I am specializing in peds. I'm just working on the Medical Floor but I would love to move to NICU or PICU eventually.
If you miss it you could always do another kind of nursing. My shifts are so easy 4 12's and 3 8's.

it was intense, it acutally sucked a lot of the time. But like all else, there were times when it was so rewarding to see my kids (that's what I called the kids I saw week after week for 6 years) come walking in after heart surgery and watch them be able to do things theyweren't able to do before.

So you work 4 12's a week and then 3 8's? that's agreat shift. I would move out there for that shift. They don't have shifts like that here :( And Seattle Grace is a great children's hospital. We have 3 down here is a 20 mile radius, but it's a political with these doctors.
